About me

Welcome.

I am a liberal. However not a liberal in the sense that I am what you think a liberal is.

To me a liberal is someone who is "liberated" from following the herd. I am free from the pressures of having to think or vote one way or the other. A big problem I have with our political system is that you either go with Door #1 and accept all of its contents, or you go with Door #2. This, if you think about it not only being true, also explains why George Bush is as popular as he is at the moment. The man is so far out there, but people feel the need to blindly follow the person who they voted for. (What's worse than that is when people say; "Well, he's my President, so I support him." That bothers me more than the people who support him just because they voted for him 3 years ago, because it's like giving up on your own beliefs.)

Mostly, I agree with the Democratic platform. There are however, aspects of the republican platform that I agree with. Rest assured however, as I do vote every Election Day, only I have a habit of writing in Mario Cuomo for everything from Mayor of my town to President of the United States. (2004 will be different. While NY will certainly go to Kerry, I am definitely voting to get that psycho OUT of D.C. Shit if I had known better I would have just voted for Jesus Christ, since apparently he's calling all the shots anyway.)

I have decided that 99% of blogs are boring, as 99% of blogs are political in nature. It's like reading the same news over and over again. While some of my posts will be political, I will keep them short and to a minimum. I'd rather talk about things that effect our everyday lives, like food, music, social trends and bowling.

All of my posts will be either short, easy to read, attention grabbing, or most of the above.

My motto is: "Life is too short for bullshit."

Thanks for reading,

Hieronim
